From Ehrwald town center, cycle to the viaduct arches and follow the cycle path towards Garmisch. Before Griesen, cross the bridge and turn left past the chapel and take the forest trail through the Neidernachtal valley to the Plansee. The Musteralm is recommended for a stopover. A swim in Lake Plansee is almost a must on this tour. Follow the bike and hiking trail above the road on the right bank of the lake to Seespitze. From there, turn left over the bridge and left again on the footpath (beware pedestrians) to Heiterwangersee. Over the canal bridge, the road on the left bank of the lake to Heiterwang and on the panoramic trail or cycle path to Bichlbach. From there on the cycle path or panoramic trail back to Ehrwald.
